The dynamics of the heart have always found their ideal expression in the voice and in song: from the first medieval troubadours to the explosion of rock and pop music in the 20th century—passing through German Lied and French Chanson of the Romantic period—the best stories are sung. The program Sing me your story explores the evolution of this genre, intersecting music from the distant past with more recent popular music. Paolo Gorini’s original arrangements, which often make use of electronics and keyboards, expand the palette of sounds that color this journey through time.
